2011 WE Awards

Catholic Schools Week got off to a great start on Monday morning with the naming of the 2011 WE Award winners at Mass at St. Stanislaus Church. Nine CHSS students, eight of them seniors, received this prestigious award from Father Michael and Principal Melissa Bengtson. Nominated by their teachers the WE awardees are noted for their selflessness, their compassion for others and their devotion to Central Catholic. This year’s recipients were Jordan Forte, Shelli Johnson, Diego Marquez, Marites Seitz, Ross Filipinni, Athony Alamo, Ann Vient, Nick Speaker and Kyler Wilson (not pictured). Other Catholic Schools Week activities include Mass at the Cathedral with students from all the other Catholic Schools in the Diocese for our ASB officers, a dj at lunch, letters to favorite teachers, baskets for senior citizens put together by the National Honor Society, and a special lunch on Friday for teachers and staff.
