Catholic Daughters of the Americas 2010

State and National winners were announced for the Catholic Daughters of the Americas 2010 Education Contest and several Central Catholic students were among the lucky few. Pictured here are Dottie Thurber and Arlene Henriques from the Catholic Daughters presenting prizes and certificates to Katherine Morrow and Madeline O'Brien, CCHS juniors. Katherine won first place in the State and third in the nation for her Computer Art. Maddie won a first place in Music. Other CCHS winners were Robin Shin, '10, Essay, first place, Ryan Thiel, sophomore, first place, Photography, and Alexia Rodriguez, junior, Art, first place. These students had also received first place in the high school division locally and their entries were sent on to the State and National Contests. Congratulations to all the entrants and to their teachers who have encouraged them.
