Lady Raider Soccer

The Lady Raiders Varsity and Jr. Varsity soccer teams walked away with two wins in their pre-season games against the Hughson Huskies Friday night under the rain.

The Varsity game started out with a “Circle of Prayer for Ciara Chiesa” on the soccer field with both teams wearing pink bracelets and making a full circle holding hands. Our own Father Michael led all the players, coaches and referees in prayer.

Ciara is a 7th grader from Hughson that is fighting for her life with brain cancer. The girl’s soccer team has dedicated their whole season to her in her fight to beat this illness. They have vowed to win every game for her. Ciara’s grandfather was invited as special guest and was in awe of the whole event. He stayed for the game and stated it was ok that we beat his own hometown high school.
