NHS New Inductees

The National Honor Society recently inducted these newest members during a candle lighting ceremony.

Besides having a 3.5 grade point average, members of The National Honor Society must work on two chapter projects a year and seniors must add a third project. During the first semester this year, NHS members held a sock drive for Interfaith Ministries; in the second semester they put together 76 beautiful Valentine baskets, filled with games, toys, candy and school supplies for the Children's Crisis Center. The seniors have taken on the task of collecting an epic number of books for school libraries in New Orleans - many of which were flooded out during Katrina.

This year's graduating class has 43 NHS members in good standing.
