Athlete of the Week
CCHS senior Matt Galas was honored at the Modesto Bee – Athlete of the Week. Matt is an offensive and defensive lineman for the CC RAIDERS and hopes to follow in his brother’s footsteps and earn a full ride scholarship to a great college. Right now Matt is keeping his options open.
Blood Drive of the Year!
Central Catholic High School was honored as the top school in northern California by Blood Source. The two blood drives the students put on last year resulted in 180 pints of blood donated and assisted over 500 people in need.
Freshman Retreat 2009
Senior Ministry Team leads a successful freshman retreat! The theme of the freshman retreat was “Growing with God”. Through that focus they learned their spiritual journey is a life-long one; it never stops and God is always there giving his blessings and love to everyone.
Catholic Daughters of America 2009
Sharing their many gifts, five Central Catholic students were recently recognized for winning entries on the State and/or National level in the Catholic Daughters of the Americas 2009 Education Contest.
Battle at the Capital
Central Catholic offered a prayer of thanks after the huge win over Cardinal Newman in the Battle at the Capital football game, in Folsom, this weekend.
St. Stanislaus Church Mass
Central Catholic students attended Mass at St. Stanislaus Church on September 11.

Matt Galas, Tyler Lee and Dylan Swartz were recently interviewed about the upcoming CCHS Football Season.
CCHS Eagle Scouts
Kasey Carrothers and Craig Jones recently became Eagle Scouts, the highest rank awarded by the Boy Scouts of America.
Senior Ministry Team Retreat
Senior Ministry Team Retreat was held July 31st through - August 2nd at Madonna of Peace retreat center in Copperopolis, Ca. One of the objectives our SMT learned was how to put on retreat for the rest of the student body. Everyone had fun and the food was great thanks to the Boosters who helped with all the kitchen duties and cooking.
Back to School Night
Wednesday – September 2, 6:00 pm in the CCHS Gym. Parents will visit each classroom on his or her child’s schedule. We look forward to seeing you there!
