Fun, food, friends, sharing memories and campus updates highlighted the 1970's decade luncheon hosted by the CCHS Alumni Association. This school year, we have invited each class to join us for a one-hour lunch session of information sharing. The CCHS Booster Club and Parent Teacher Group joined together to put on a wonderful “Italian” Crab Feed for parents and friends of CCHS. The bountiful dinner of crab, pasta, and salad, enjoyed by about 300 guests, was preceded by a cheese and wine tasting. It was a rainy night for Central Catholic’s Homecoming activities on Friday but Queen Briana Rios and King Michael Begen didn’t care. They were crowned by last year’s Queen Audrey Coleman and King Matt Shinkwin’s young brother. Senior Kristian Balgos assists California Scholastic Federation(CSF) members Christian Alarcio, Meghan Crumm, Maria Teresa Seitz and Claire LePouilouin with Backpack Ministry 2010. The CSF members collected hundreds of schools supplies for Interfaith Ministry, Dent Elementary After School Program and Hart Ransom School. In addition, several backpacks were given to students in need throughout the county.

Joanna Nguyen shows off just one of the 33 cakes CCHS students made and decorated for the St. Stanislaus Parish Festival Cake Walk last week. Students also worked on the festival booths and helped with the auction. In fact, CCHS students could be seen volunteering at all the local parish festivals this fall.
