Senior Awards Night

Twelve CCHS seniors were presented with $1000 college scholarships at the Senior Awards Night in May, 2010, as a result of a bequest made in the will of the late A.C. “Buzz” Bizzini. Mr. Bizzini volunteered for the army at the start of World War II and never finished his senior year in high school. After his Army career where he received a purple cross, he finished school and began his career as an educator on the west side. A strong Catholic, Mr. Bizzini never married but appreciated the value of Catholic education. The twelve seniors were surprised – and very pleased – with their awards and the fact that they came from a man who never knew them.
