Welcome to English I! My name is Mrs. Guina and I am the freshman English teacher here at Central Catholic High School. This year I am teaching four sections of college
preparatory English and two sections of English at the Honors level. Please see my syllabus for more information on each of these classes, including the books we read and types
of assignments we do. I come to Central Catholic from Modesto Junior College, where I was an adjunct instructor for two years. I taught English 50, English 101 (both of which are primarily composition courses), and English 169: Children’s Literature, which I also taught at Holy Names University. I have my Master of Arts degree in English Literature from San Francisco State University and my Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Holy Names University. Though I pursued my higher education in the Bay Area, I was born and raised in Turlock and graduated Valedictorian of my class at Turlock High School. |
