His job as the Director of Business is to represent the 5,000 plus students within the College of Business at California State University, Sacramento and advocate for them on a school-wide level. Also, he is a big advocate of business clubs at California State University, Sacramento and has been working on marketing them to the students within the College of Business to show the benefits of being a part of one of these organizations.
He is also serving as the Vice President of Events for the American Marketing Association at Sac State. His position in this organization is to reach out to local businesses and professionals in the community and bring them to Sac State so that through presentations and networking events the students at Sac State can learn about the professions that are prevalent within their majors. He has aspirations to become President of the American Marketing Association next semester.
He is in his fourth year at Sacramento State and a Business Administration major with a concentration in marketing and international business. Blake states "My biggest accomplishment since going off to college would have to be that I have successfully paid my entire way through California State University, Sacramento myself thus far. My parents are proud of this accomplishment, particularly because they know that the value it brings to my education when I know that it is my own money going into my education and the additional work ethic that it instills in me. I know that it is because of them that I was able to learn the work ethic and respect that is required to get a job in the business world today, and for that I always thank them. They have been always supportive in all of my endeavors; whether it be at Central Catholic High School, California State University, Sacramento or in the community."
