Small World

Marie Morris Bauckman is the director of the USO at the Norfolk International Airport in Norfolk, Virginia. She was working when twenty United States Marines flew in from San Diego. They were on their way to attend intelligence school at Dam Neck Naval Base in Virginia Beach. She was visiting with one of the Marines and discovered that the young man Chandler Morrison she was talking to was from Manteca, California. She shared with him that she was from Turlock, California. In their continued conversation they discovered that they were both graduates of CCHS. Marie graduated in 1972 and Chandler in 2009. Chandler is currently stationed in Washington D. C. He will be joining the Presidential Support Battalion.  Chandler was one of the three chosen from 650 Marine applicants. Marie stated “It is so neat What a small world!”
