CCHS Scholarship Program

The CCHS Scholarship Program was established by the Diocese of Stockton and the CCHS Foundation to help families send their children to Central Catholic. Family income, the number of dependents, tuition for other family members, unusual medical expenses, as well as essays, are criteria used in granting most scholarships. All information is kept confidential; an impartial outside firm receives and reviews all financial aid applications.

Scholarship Application Process: All these steps need to be completed to be considered for scholarships.

1. All scholarship applicants must have a CCHS application on file to be considered for any financial awards. You can apply online - $45 Fee required

2. Complete a CCHS Scholarship Form - no fee required. Only one scholarship form is necessary no matter how many scholarships you wish to apply for. You can download the Scholarship Application Form from the CCHS website (click to download) fill it out and send it with the following list, marked with the scholarships you wish to apply for, and return it to the CCHS Development Office, 200 South Carpenter Road, Modesto 95351, by January 15. Some scholarships require an essay on a specific topic; please be sure to attach the appropriate essay(s) and your letters of recommendation.

3. Complete the online Financial aid form - TADS (http://www.tads.com/) $35 fee. There is a $35 fee for TADS and the forms are due by January 15, for all except the CCHS Foundation Scholarships, The James Dignan Memorial, The Ernest Ciccarelli Memorial, the Paul Friedrich Family, and the E.F. & William Berry Memorial Scholarships or where otherwise noted. Applicants can reapply for specific scholarships each year at CCHS where noted.

Work Study Students - The Work Study Program is a form of assistance available to students from all grade levels. Eligibility for work-study is based on financial need, student profile, and personal interview with the candidate and his or her family. Students receiving assistance will be expected to complete work hours in exchange for book credit. The number of hours will be determined by the size of the grant. A CCHS application and a financial aid application (TADS) must be completed to qualify.
