Student government at Central Catholic functions through the Associated Student Body Organization. All legislative powers are vested in the Student Council, which meets weekly throughout the school year. In addition, four class officers are elected for each class to lead them in special social and civic functions.
Orderly operation of student government at Central Catholic is promoted by the ASB Constitution and by the Activities Handbook. Interested students may obtain copies by contacting the Activities Director.
Every class has four elected officers: President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer and one appointed class representative. The senior, junior and sophomore class officers are elected during the last month of the school year previous to their term in office. Freshman will elect officers to represent them during the first quarter.
Student body President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, and Rally Commissioners are elected to office by a majority of all ballots cast in the ASB general elections during May. The Commissioners and the Historian will be selected by the past and newly elected executive student councils. All ASB officers and commissioners must meet the eligibility requirements, and all CCHS students are eligible to vote.
