CCHS juniors Ivan Swalve and Spencer Stark both qualified for the CIF Master's Track meet on May 23 at Elk Grove High School in the discus. Ivan finished second at the section meet with a throw of 154 feet while Spencer came in third with a toss of 140 feet.
Central Catholic's Ladies Raider Softball Team completed an undefeated Western Athletic League season last week and are ranked fourth in Division 4. They play Kimball at Arnaiz Stadium in Stockton on Wednesday, May 15, to open the playoffs.
The Raider Men's Golf team completed the WAC season with a record of 12-0. This is the 3rd undefeated championship in a row for the Raiders. On May 6 the Raiders won the Division IV Section Title. They now go on to the Masters tournament on May 13 at Spanos Reserve in Stockton. Senior Andrew Bonner received MVP for the WAC and earned the Low Medalist award for the Divisional Tournament by shooting a 3 under par 68....

An 87-47 victory over Alma Heights Christian School at home on Wednesday evening has qualified the Raiders Basketball Team for a Division 5, Nor Cal play-off game on Saturday night at Kezar Stadium against number 3-rated University High of San Francisco. CCHS Senior Joey Abbate received early acceptance to Duke University. A stand-out wrestler and football player at Central Catholic, Joey will join the Blue Devils wrestling team next year. Joey, and his younger brother, Danny, also a wrestler, came to Central Catholic from St. Bernard’s School in Tracy. Pictured with Joey is St. Bernard’s principal, Gary Abate.
CCHS Senior Ray Lomas recently made a quick switch from football to wrestling. After winning considerable press in the Raiders' State Championship last month, Ray moved on to the wrestling arena and won the 170 pound title at the Sierra Nevada Classic in Reno over Christmas, taking all six matches.
