Interact Club
The purpose of Interact is to provide opportunity for young people to work together in a world of fellowship dedicated to service and international understanding. Our goals are to:
- Recognize and develop constructive leadership and personal integrity
- Encourage and practice thoughtfulness of and helpfulness to others
- Create an awareness of home and family
- Build respect for the rights of others
- Emphasize acceptance of individual responsibility
- Recognize the dignity and value of all useful occupations as opportunities to serve society
- Provide opportunities for gaining increased knowledge and understanding of community affairs
- Open avenues of personal and group action leading to the advancement of international understanding
Our club at Central Catholic High School is made up of forty five students from the sophomore, junior and senior classes (fifteen students each). We meet twice a month during lunch over the course of a school year and typically have approximately one service project per month – ranging from school, community and international causes. Our club is led by a group of officers from the senior class who are elected annually by the club.
