Parent Teacher Group (P.T.G.)
All parents and/or guardians of CCHS students are members of the Central Catholic High School Parent/Teacher Group. The group endeavors to coordinate the spiritual and educational forces of the home and school through parent education and promotion of Christian living in the community through Christian action. It fosters Christian ideals of home life and promotes interest in Catholic schools.
The P.T.G. acts as a channel for increased communication between parents, staff, administration, students, and alumni. It provides parents with opportunities to serve the community by assisting in social and fund-raising activities. To these ends, the P.T.G. publishes the Parent-Student Directory and organizes the Italian Night Dinner and Dance, and the Mother's Day Mass and Breakfast. The group also offers refreshments at many CCHS events throughout the year and provides a soup lunch for the students on Ash Wednesday.
Funds raised by the P.T.G. are used for the CCHS Renaissance program, faculty and staff special requests for the campus, scholarships and guest speakers. Meetings are held monthly in the CCHS Library. All parents are encouraged to attend. Items for the agenda should be submitted to the P.T.G. president at least two weeks in advance of the meetings.
