CCHS FFA Collects Over 800 Gallons of Milk

Nicole Morris
Central Catholic FFA was challenged by the Merced-Golden Valley FFA to collect and donate gallons of Real California Milk to local food banks and shelters. Over two days, Central Catholic FFA collected 841 gallons of milk!
The #10GallonChallenge started a few months ago when dairy farmers through the mid-west started challenging each other. Farmers were challenging each other on social media to buy and donate 10 gallons of milk to help move milk throughout stores and support communities in need. Central Catholic FFA's goal was to collect 400 gallons of milk over two days and they exceed that goal by an additional 450 gallons!

They were able to donate milk to over a dozen different local charities: Modesto Love Center – Modesto, Interfaith Ministries – Modesto, Grace Lutheran Preschool – Modesto, Bethany's House – Modesto, Sacred Heart Preschool – Turlock, Westside Ministries – Turlock, Children's Crisis – Oakdale, Second Harvest Food Bank – Manteca, St. Mary's Dining Hall – Stockton, Emergency Food Bank – Stockton, Stockton Catholic Charities – Stockton, Marsha's House – Ceres, Women's Haven Center – Modesto, and Salvation Army – Modesto.

The officer team is still making their selection on which FFA chapter to challenge next.

What an amazing job CCHS FFA!
