CCHS Names Kellie O’Connor as Assistant Principal

Jim Pecchenino
WE are pleased to announce that Kellie O’Connor has accepted our offer to join Central Catholic High School in the 2019-2020 school year as our new Assistant Principal.

Though this is a part time position, we know Mrs. O’Connor will be a perfect fit – for a person who is passionate and committed to our Mission. Her primary responsibility will be to assist Mr. Sawyer, our principal, with the administration and supervision of the academic program at our school. Specific responsibilities will include curriculum development, an analysis of the content standards, core instructional practices, effective teaching objectives, formative assessment and methodology. She will also participate in key leadership committees that are aligned to our day-to-day operations.

Mrs. O’Connor comes to us with years of experience in Catholic Education. She currently works as the Curriculum and Instruction Coordinator for the Diocese of Stockton. In this role, she has worked with principals and teachers throughout the diocese to evaluate coordinate and implement learning communities on campuses. She has mentored teachers and administrators on ways to improve strategic planning and standards alignment in the classroom. Prior to her work with the diocese, Mrs. O’Connor taught at both the middle school and high school levels in our Catholic schools. She has Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership. She also holds a single subject credential in social science and an administrative service credential both from the state of California.

WE are fortunate to have Mrs. O’Connor join our team. She is passionate about Catholic education and truly embraces our Mission and Core Values. Please join us in welcoming Kellie O’Connor to Raider Territory.
