Admissions Process

The following information is needed by Central Catholic High School to process your application for admittance:

List of 7 items.

  • Application Form

Online application form must be filled out and submitted with application fee of $45. APPLY NOW button in the menu to the left takes you to the application.
  • Student's Report Cards

Please submit report cards from the past two years. If the student is currently in high school, we need to have a copy of their high school transcript.
  • Standardized Testing

Please submit the most recent copy of these tests. An example would be the Comprehensive Test of Basic Skills (CTBS), Stanford Achievement Test, SAT 9, STAR, American College Testing (ACT or a similar test) showing national percentile scores.
  • Placement Test

All incoming students must take our placement test. We administer the Scholastic High School Placement Test, a standardized testing used throughout the country. These tests are used in conjunction with all the above academic information to determine course placement.
  • School Recommendation

The Admissions office will obtain recommendations from the student's Math and English teachers as part of the academic review process.
  • Transfer students

Students transferring from another high school must complete the same admissions procedures as above with the possible exception of taking a placement test. Placement will be determined based on grades. An interview is also required of all transfer students. In addition, a transfer must not be a result of a disciplinary action.
  • Note

When all of a student’s academic information has been received and placement testing completed the CCHS Admissions Committee will review all data and make recommendations for admittance. Please allow 2 to 3 weeks to hear about your admission.

8th Grade Day

8th Grade Day, held in the fall, is an opportunity for interested potential students to visit the campus. WE invite 8th grade students and their parents to join us for a day to see and experience CCHS. The students will be hosted by our Central students in the gymnasium, touring campus, answering questions, giving presentations, getting to know one another (after all – they may be classmates next year!) Parents are hosted in our library and learn about Central Catholic High School, our curriculum, opportunities available, and the preparation for the next step in their students education – college.

Shadow Days

Individual Shadow Days are scheduled in the months of February, March and April. Students experience a day in the life of a Central Catholic student as they shadow them throughout their class schedule. Contact Ms. Tybor to sign up for one of the shadow days at (209) 524-9611 or at tybor@cchsca.org. Limited spots are available so please call to reserve your spot as soon as possible.

Students shadowing must follow the dress code. They do not have to wear CCHS shirts, but must be in a collared shirt and follow all other dress code guidelines. Students arriving at Central Catholic to shadow who are not in dress code will not be allowed to stay for the day.
