Parent Teacher Group

Dear CC Parents,

I am excited to join PTG serving as Chairperson for the 2023-2024 school year. I have been inspired by many amazing people, great works and wonderful contributions I’ve witnessed PTG bring to our Central Catholic Community. I am blessed to have transitioned into this role and am receiving it from outstanding leadership, rooted in true core values of Christianity.

My husband and I are staunch supporters of Catholic education and believe Catholic education has a profound positive effect on society and Catholic families. We have been blessed with two wonderful children who have received a Catholic education since preschool. Our daughter, Gianna is a student at Central Catholic and will graduate in the Class of 2024 & our son Daniel will be in the Class of 2030.

As the incoming Chairperson, my goal is to continue to promote the value of a parent and teacher’s role within our community while strengthening communication and collaborating on events that enrich the minds and souls of our student body. It is important to me that everyone know how truly valued their time, talents, and treasures are to our CCHS community & that is what absolutely makes CCHS so unique and in a category, all its own.

The PTG Board is comprised of amazing parents with students across all grade levels, activities, sports, and interests. This gives our board a good, robust perspective and naturally promotes inclusivity, welcoming all. We are motivated to serve and continue to promote the spirit of “WE” in all that we do.

Our fundraising activities support PTG’s efforts to enhance the Central Catholic experience not only for our students, but for our teachers, administrators and families. Annually, we kick off the school year co- hosting the Freshmen and New student BBQ with Boosters, Welcome Back Social for all parents, Catholic Schools Week Faculty Appreciation Luncheon and Lenten Soup Lunch for the entire school on Ash Wednesday. Additionally, we fund student scholarships and host Senior Awards Night. Last year, we were blessed to award six scholarships totaling $1500, we would love to double that amount this year.

My hope is to enhance what is already great and embark on a new journey. The PTG has been given an amazing opportunity to bring back a time honored tradition. This year we will be hosting, Italian Night on November 11, 2023. Save the date! The nostalgia and fond memories expressed when this event is mentioned inspires and moves me on a personal level to endeavor to make this an incredible success. As a board, we want to honor the traditions of the past and create fun, new traditions we hope will carry on, for many years to come.

During the year, we fundraise through a few small, on campus fundraisers such as, ‘Grateful’ cookie grams in November and February, PTG Raider Spirit Gear: shirts, lawn signs, car magnets and more to show your CCHS pride and showcase your amazing student. This year, for the first time perhaps or at least in many years, PTG is offering Senior Shirt/Sweatshirts for the Class of 2024. We have an amazing collaborative silent auction fundraising opportunity at the Boosters Annual Brats & Brews event. This year, we will be working very hard to make Italian Night a huge success and hope it can serve as the main source of revenue to sustain the majority of non-revenue generating events that so many have grown to enjoy and look forward to.

When anyone new steps onto our campus, it doesn’t take long for them to feel the sense of community and know that something vastly different exists here. We have faculty and administrators who devote countless unseen hours to enriching the lives of our students. I love that our children can live in their faith and are surrounded by teachers who exhibit life and lessons through the Gospel. Our parents and families are second to none when it comes to supporting our children. Generous with their time, talents and treasures there is a commitment and common goal to see these young people thrive and maximize every opportunity to the fullest.

There are many ways you can be involved: attending meetings to bring your voice and vote, volunteering to help at events, lead or contribute to a special committee, such as Hospitality, Scholarship, or Publicity. If time is tight but you would still like to participate, sponsorship opportunities are also available by providing food and drinks to activities, such as the Lenten Soup, Faculty Appreciation Luncheon or Senior Awards Night.

I have a deep and sincere appreciation for the CCHS community and am happy to serve, give back and support the tremendous efforts that affirm the true spirit of “WE", I hope you will join me. God Bless you and your family this year.

Laus Deo,
Jessica Juarez PTG Chair
